- Agenda for Library of Congress MBRS Collections Move Pre-Bid Meeting February 25, 2005 9:00am - Library of Congress, James Madison Building, 101 Independence Ave. SE wash D.C Room LM-G45 (LM-G45 is in the northeast corner of the Madison building, ground floor) . Opening statement then tour : LJ Deck 50, Adams, LM-G12, Loading Dock, LM-338. Please be advised that anything you bring into the building will be x-rayed, and that each person will be required to pass through a metal detector. 2:00pm - Library of Congress Annex, 1701 Brightseat Rd., Landover Md. Meet at Building Entrance Tour: Bay 2, Bay 4, Lower level. March 01, 2005 1:00 pm - Library of Congress NAVCC (under construction, dress accordingly) located at 19053 Mount Pony Rd. Culpeper Va., 22701. This facility is located at the intersection of Rt 522 and Rt 3, just 3 miles east of Culpeper. From Washington, it can be reached via Rt 66 south, to Rt 29 south, to Rt 3 east, to Rt 522, or via Rt 95 south, Rt 3 west, to Rt522. Upon arrival, drive to the top of the hill, park near the trailer complex. If parking becomes a problem we will adjust. This is the primary ?go to" location for the collections, we will tour the delivery pathways and storage areas. 2:00 pm - Library of Congress Elkwood Annex Warehouse, facility is located at 13129 Airpark Drive, Elkwood, Va. Suite 150. From the NAVCC proceed north on Rt 29/15 approximately 10 miles to a left turn at Rt 786 (sign says T.I. Martin Airpark). Take first right into industrial park, proceed to the end of that road, make a right turn and then another right turn to Suite 150. WPAFB Nitrate Vaults, Date/Time to be Determined - Library of Congress Nitrate Storage 167 Vaults located on Wright Patterson Air force base near Dayton Ohio. You must first report to the Visitor?s Center at Entrance 1B, off of Springfield St. You should be a U.S. Citizen or have Green Card. If not you should take steps well in advance to gain entry. The Library will need the full names of all who plan on entering the base 3 days in advance. If you are driving, you must have a valid drivers licence along with proof of insurance or a rental car agreement. If you are local to Dayton, you must have an "e-check certificate" Below are some directions that should apply: TRAVELERS FROM THE EAST: Those coming from the east on I-70 should exit at I-675 South (exit 44A). Travel to Exit 15 (Col. Glenn Hwy). As you exit, stay in the right-hand lane. At the end of the exit, turn right at the traffic light (Col. Glenn Highway). Travel to the third traffic light (Harshman Road/Wright Brothers Parkway) and turn right. Exit at Springfield Pike; turn right at the end of the exit ramp. TRAVELERS FROM THE WEST: Those coming from the west on I-70 should exit at I-675 South (exit 44A). Travel to Exit 15 (Col. Glenn Hwy). As you exit, stay in the right-hand lane. At the end of the exit, turn right at the traffic light (Col. Glenn Highway). Travel to the third traffic light (Harshman Road/Wright Brothers Parkway) and turn right. Exit at Springfield Pike; turn right at the end of the exit ramp. TRAVELERS FROM THE NORTH: Those coming from the north on I-75 should exit at I-70 East (exit 61A). Travel to I-675 South (exit 44A). Travel to Exit 15 (Col. Glenn Hwy). As you exit, stay in the right-hand lane. At the end of the exit, turn right at the traffic light (Col. Glenn Highway). Travel to the third traffic light (Harshman Road/Wright Brothers Parkway) and turn right. Exit at Springfield Pike; turn right at the end of the exit ramp. TRAVELERS FROM THE SOUTH: Those coming from the south on I-75 should exit I-675 North (exit 43). Travel to Exit 15 (Col. Glenn Hwy). As you exit, stay in the extreme right-hand lane. At the end of the exit, turn right at the traffic light (Col. Glenn Highway). Travel to the third traffic light (Harshman Road/Wright Brothers Parkway) and turn right. Exit at Springfield Pike; turn right at the end of the exit ramp. TRAVELERS ON STATE ROUTE 35: Travelers from 35 (east or west) should exit on I-675 North. Travel to Exit 15 (Col. Glenn Hwy). As you exit, stay in the extreme right-hand lane. At the end of the exit, turn right at the traffic light (Col. Glenn Highway). Travel to the third traffic light (Harshman Road/Wright Brothers Parkway) and turn right. Exit at Springfield Pike; turn right at the end of the exit ramp. Library of Congress rented space in Boyers Pa. (Iron Mountian underground storage) This facility is located at 1137 Branchton Road, Boyers, PA 16020. There is approximately 1500 feet of "private space" containing processed collections. These collections can be reached by truck (some size limitation) and totally handled by this contractor (photo attached). Contractor employees who enter the facility to load these materials must have 2 picture ID?s and be American citizens. The truck used for the private space cannot be a tractor trailer. In addition, there is approximately 33,000 cubic feet of collections stored in boxes in the "general space". These general space collections must be removed from the facility by Iron Mountain staff and loaded on to this contractor truck outside of the secure area. Iron Mountain will retrieve, place on pallets, shrink wrap and load on to this contractor?s truck. This truck can be a tractor trailer with a list gate. We await information from Iron Mountain as to how many pallets of materials this will be.
