- NASA/KSC plans to issue an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for Task 1- Refurbish the Jay-Jay Railroad Bridge, including options for Bearing Pads and Componenets, Pile Jackets, Structural Painting and Fender Repair/Replacement and Task 2- Repair Jay-Jay Railroad Bridge Seawall, including an additive alternate for incremental additional work to the seawall. The order of magnitude for the procurement is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000 and the effort shall be completed within 720 calendar days after notice to proceed. This procurement is part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The NAICS Code and small business size standard for this procurement are 237310 and $28,500,000, respectively. The anticipated release date of the solicitation is on or about 11 March, 2005 with an anticipated closing date of on or about 11 April, 2005. The firm date for receipt of bids or proposals will be stated in the IFB. Drawings will be available from the Bid Distribution Office, telephone 321-867-2851 or fax 321-867-2851. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. [OMBUDSMAN STATEMENT IS REQUIRED] An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B". The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement [with the exception of the specifications and drawings] will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
