Description

The 99th Contracting Squadron at Nellis AFB NV intends to award a contract for a contractor to demonstrate its commercial off the shelf unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), which fits the performance requirements of the 820 Security Forces Group. Specific requirements are to demonstrate the capability of a small, low-cost persistent intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance UAV to provide air base defense and support convoy operations by conducting route reconnaissance for convoy operations, up to 110KM. The demonstration shall provide convoy commanders with real time video for a UAV over-flight for minimum of 12 hours, provide near real time video imagery back to Convoy Command and Control Operations Center (C3OC), up to 100KM line of sight, identify possible communications link between convoy UAVs and other airborne platforms for reach back voice/data messaging beyond line of sight, and explore potential solutions to mobile patrols conducting air base defense. The envisioned contract type will be firm-fixed price. This contract is expected to be unrestricted. The NAICS is 336411. The Government intends to issue a solicitation on or about 2 March 2005, with Offeror responses potentially due 9 March 2005.
