Description

The 42nd Contracting Squadron at Maxwell AFB AL intends to award a sole source contract to Dr David R. Mets. The services requested are to survey theses of past 14 School of Advanced Air and Space Studies (SAASS) classes (388 theses, approximately 70 pages each, approximately 27,000 pages); conceive a series of approximately 300-pages compilations of related theses, series is to be 8 books, with each book comprised of 4-8 SAASS theses with appropriate supplementary material (introduction, conclusion, appendices, etc.); first compilation will center on Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), choose best SAASS theses (4-8) on UAVs, gain permissions from authors, write introduction, edit theses to publishable content and format; propose working title of both series and first volume to SAASS Commandant; write publicity ?blurb? for the series and UAV volume (back jacket); proof galleys for publisher (TBD). A statement of work is also posted with this announcement. This is a sole source procurement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This will be a firm-fixed price contract. If there are any other businesses/persons that can provide the specified service, they must respond to this notice before 1500 hours (3:00 p.m.) (central time) on March 15, 2005. If no responses are received by the above date, a sole source contract with Dr David R. Mets will be pursued.
