- ISSUE DATE: 03/16/05. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision and disposal necessary to replace the roof at the dwelling at Stratford Point Light, Stratford, CT (Fairfield County). The work includes, but is not limited to, the removal of existing asphalt shingle roofing, underlayment, flashing, rake drip edges, lightning cables, and copper ridge rolls. Provide new heavyweight asphalt shingle roofing, underlayment, self-adhering bituminous flashing/eaves protection membrane, copper flashing, a new lightning protection cable connected to the existing lightning rod and existing ground, and new drip edges at rakes. Remove and re-install existing cedar clapboard as required to install new flashing. Clapboard that breaks or is otherwise damaged during removal or re-installation shall be replaced with new pre-primed 6-inch cedar clapboard to match existing clapboard. Paint new clapboard to match the remainder of the existing clapboard. Repaint areas of clapboard where existing painted surfaces are damaged during construction. Provide new copper chimney flashing, repoint chimney brickwork above the roof surface, and repair the mortar wash at the top of the chimney. Remove approximately 100 square feet of rotted 1 x 6 +/- thick roof deck boards and provide 100 square feet of new wood roof deck boards of the same size and thickness in the same location prior to starting reroofing work. Re-nail loose soffit board, rake trim, moldings, and fascia (approximately 10 linear feet); repaint repaired area. Minimize lead dust emissions and collect lead dust/debris for disposal and incidental related work. Estimated cost of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000 dollars. The applicable NAICS code is 238160 and the size standard is $12 million. The solicitation is issued in accordance with FAR Part 19, and is 100% set-aside for small business concerns.
