- Establish a multi-taxonomic forest wide monitoring program as part of adaptive management strategy. Monitoring program is intended to 1)satisfy monitoring requirements of the National Forest Management Act (NFMA), 2) fill important information gaps to inform upcoming management plan revisions and 3) identify restoration needs and opportunities for wildlife and their habitat within the Tahoe Basin. Proposal for site set up at 25 sites and a total of 75-bird point count surveys at the 25 sites within the Lake Tahoe Basin Mangement Unit during summer 2005. Estimated starting date May 9, 2005.
