Description
THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY, TO DETERMINE INDUSTRY INTEREST AND CAPABILITY. The USAF Academy is conducting Preliminary Planning Market Research (PPMR) utilizing OMB Circular A-76 Supplemental Handbook, Air Force Commercial Activities A-76 Program Preliminary Planning Guidebook, and the Federal Acquisition Regulation and its Supplements. The purpose of this PPMR is to determine if government operated functions within Mitchell Hall, the Cadet dining facility, are commercially performed and available. Contractors are asked to submit the following: capability statements expressing their interest; past performance information similar in scope to this initiative to include a point of contact, phone numbers, the business size; and any other pertinent corporate information. The capability statements will be used as part of the market research to determine if this acquisition should be set-aside for small businesses or proceed in an unrestricted manner. Capability statements must be provided no later than 14 Mar 2005. Proposals are NOT being requested, and will NOT be accepted at this time. The tasks required in support of a full food service operation in Mitchell Hall include, but are not limited to, the receipt, inventory and distribution of subsistence and supply items. Also included is the production, serving, sanitation and the daily administrative management of stated services. Contractor will be required to provide approximately 12,000 meals a day to Cadets, plus special functions. Services shall be provided in accordance with all USAF and Academy procedures/regulations and are subject to the Service Contract Act. GOVERNMENT PERSONNEL ARE CURRENTLY PERFORMING THIS WORK. NO CURRENT OR PAST CONTRACTUAL DATA EXISTS OR IS AVAILABLE.
