Description

The Government intends to award on a sole source basis an interim contract to College of Amercian Pathologists, 325 Waukegan Road, Northfield, IL 60093 under 10 USC 23.4 (1) Only One Responsible Source. The proposed contractor is the only known resp onsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements within the required timeframes. The contractor will provide all materials, labor, transportation, lodging and professional expertise for accreditation, laboratory sampling s urveys, and laboratory proficiency testing for the United States Air Force Medical Centers, regional and base hospitals in the continental United States and overseas for a period of performance of 6 months through 30 September 2005. Anticipated award date is March 1, 2005. This is not a request for quotation and no solicitation is available. Firms believing they can provide the required services are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 15 days from the date of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Inquiries may be sent to Barbara M.
