Description: The purpose of this SOW is to compare and contrast the VRLA ? SLA Gel-Cell and AGM battery types with each other and with any others of equivalent specifications and characteristics, to identify the best battery type for use as the ideal USCG DGPS(V)1 back-up battery providing more than 20 hours continuous back-up voltage and current to DGPS broadcast equipment. This study will identify the best battery type regarding battery longevity, deep-cycling characteristics, cost, and ability to operate in harsh hot and cold climates over time.
