Description
HSCG87-05-B-643219. Cape Hinchinbrook Lighthouse Fuel System Upgrades, Prince William Sound, Alaska. The contractor shall provide all materials, supervision, labor, equipment, transportation and incidentals necessary to replace the fuel system at the U.S. Coast Guard Cape Hinchinbrook Light Station. The work is located at a remote site in Prince William Sound, Alaska. Work includes, but is not limited to, the demolition and removal of six fuel tanks, buried and above ground fuel piping, two (2) each day tanks and appurtenances. The new fuel system shall consist of a 9,000-gallon stainless steel fuel tank, above ground fuel piping, day tank, appurtenances, and integration of new controls to existing Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System (SCADA) and fuel monitoring control systems. The existing SCADA and fuel monitoring control systems at Cape Hinchinbrook were designed, fabricated, programmed, and installed by Boreal Controls, Incorporated located in Juneau, Alaska. Because the existing systems include unique, custom built equipment based on proprietary design and programming, modifications to these systems shall be subcontracted to Boreal Controls by the successful offeror. All work shall be completed prior to August 15, 2005. The estimated cost range is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. See the solicitation for bonding requirements. This procurement is issued as a 100% small business set-aside. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238220 and the applicable size standard is $12.0 million dollars in annual receipts for the past three years. All responsible small businesses may submit a bid. A firm-fixed-price contract will be awarded. This solicitation will not be issued in paper form. Solicitation documents, may be accessed for download from the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website beginning on the date of issue (estimated to be on or about March 11, 2005) at the following site: http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Any amendments issued to the solicitation will be posted on this website. Prospective bidders are responsible for checking the website for amendments up to the date and time of bid opening. The technical data package (specifications and drawings) will only be available through a link in FedBizOpps to the Federal Technical Data Solution (FedTeDS) website. Firms must be currently registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database and FedTeDS database to be able to access the technical data package. A planholders list will not be available for this project from CEU-Juneau. Vendors are encouraged to register their interest by entering their information in the Interested Vendors List for this solicitation in FedBizOpps.
