THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY - Solicitations are not available at this time. Request for a solicitation will not receive a responses. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to make a single award for the provision of Comprehensive Medical Services for the inmate population at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) and Federal Prison Camp (FPC) in Milan, Michigan. Services to be provided shall include inpatient/outpatient hospital services, inpatient/outpatient physician services, and outpatient institution services. FCI Milan is a medium level security institution with approximately 1512 male inmates. The contract type is indefinite delivery requirements type contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The contract period shall consist of a 12 month base period with four 12 month option periods for renewal. The estimated quantities are as follows: Base Year - 70 inpatient days and 60 outpatient visits; Option Year 1 - 77 inpatient days and 66 outpatient visits; Option Year 2 - 85 inpatient days and 73 outpatient visits; Option Year 3 - 93 inpatient days and 80 outpatient visits; Option Year 4 - 120 inpatient days and 88 outpatient visits. The Market Research Questionnaire and Statement of Work will be available on or about March 2, 2005 and will be distributed solely through the General Service Administration?s Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. A government proposal to provide these services is being developed, and a contract may or may not result. Market research is being conducted to determine interest and capability of potential sources for this requirement. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. All future information concerning the acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through the website. Interest parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The date of receipt of the market research is March 16, 2005.
