Description

The Southern AZ VA Health Care System (SAVAHCS) intends to negotiate a sole source procurement for an Endeavor Status System by WestCom Nurse Call System Inc, distributed by Climatec of 10802 N. 23rd Avenue Phoenix, Arizona. This simplified acquisition procurement is being accomplished in accordance with FAR Part 6.302- 1. The Endeavor Status System is a multipurpose tone-visual communications system designed to address healthcare communications. It features signaling and notification systems such as: Patient calls, Open doors, Patient Ready, Results Ready, Patient Waiting, Assistance Needed, In-room Timer, etc. The Endeavor Status System is capable of displaying calls on a flat panel monitor when interfaced with CDT. It is capable of receiving calls and alarms from other systems through a serial port connection. It supports up to 4,000 lights, switches, buttons, and other input devices. It also supports scheduling features for up to 8 groups and paging capabilities for each input device. The Endeavor Status System includes a 10Base-T Network connection to interface with CDT and users are able to remotely program or re-program the system. WestCom Nurse Call System is the sole manufacturer of the Endeavor Status System and Climatec is the only authorized distributor in the state of Arizona. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will NOT be accepted. However, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within (ten) 10 calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information can be sent to the Contracting Officer (9-90C) ATTN: Paulette N. Pereira, SAVAHCS, 3601 S. 6th Avenue, Tucson, AZ 85723. Responses received will be evaluated; however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the SAVAHCS will proceed with the sole source negotiation with the Climatec.
