Description

The solicitation is issued as a Request for Quote W91248-05-Q-0039. The NAICS code is 332999 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. Solicitation is unrestricted. This is a follow-on procurement of a swivel system previously purchas ed in FY 03. Requirement is for a complete swivel system for long-line helicopter sling load operations. The swivel system accommodates a 1.5 inch diameter line and consists of the following three (3) items: 1) BK Alloy Safety Hooks with Ball Bearings ( Swivel Eye Type), Gunnebo Part # BKLK-13-8, working load limit 9,000 lbs., with a design safety factor of 5 proof tested and certified and will rotate under load; 2) Alloy Web/Round Sling Connector, Gunnebo Part # SKR-18/20-8 working capacity of 22,640 lbs ., with a design safety factor of 5 proof tested and certified; and 3) SK System Half Link Connector, Gunnebo Part # SKT-18/20-8, mates with items 1 and 2, working capacity of 22,640 pounds, with a design safety factor of 5 proof tested and certified. T he weight of the total system shall not exceed 15 pounds. Color shall be black. Quantity required is 1,200. Delivery shall be as follows: Thirty (30) swivel systems are required thirty (30) calendar days after receipt of order. Remaining 1,170 swivel sy stems shall be delivered at a minimum rate of 195 swivel systems every thirty (30) calendar days following initial delivery with the final delivery occurring not later than 30 Sep 05.
