Description

The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center, Puget Sound (FISCPS), is soliciting for a supply type contract in support of Naval Ship Repair Facility, Sasebo Japan for thirty-two (32) piston assembly units including piston rings, piston pins, tube piston pins, circlips, and o-rings (part number PM65838), one (1) thrust bearing (part number P12615035), nine (9) main bearings (part number P12616016), sixteen (16) bearing connector rods-upper (part number P104843N), sixteen (16) bearing connector rods-lower (part number P104842N), thirty-two (32) gasket kits (part number P12617822). This procurement will be negotiated on a sole source basis with the original equipment manufacture (OEM) of the engine component parts, Coltec Industries, Fairbanks Morse Engine Division or authorized distributor. Required delivery date is May 25, 2005. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Proposed contract to be procured using commercial Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 12.
