Description
The modification is issued to provide additional information on the Ruggedized Computer System: The ruggedized computer shall have 1) the capability of internally housing the Marine Corps Systems Command proscribed modem and integrating that modem; 2) the capability to transmit/receive digital data from the Marine Corps Systems Command proscribed laser range finder; and 3) be capable to use an angled port replicator to increase the number and variety of ports. Contract Line Item Number 0003: The Port Replicator shall provide additional device ports, such as an additional USB, EPP parallel port, SVGA video port, and AC power connection, to greatly increase the users capabilities. Contract Line Item Number 0004: The ruggedized handheld computer shall include a 933 Mhz Pentium III-M with Color Touchscreen, SVGA 800x600 All-Vis Sunlight Display, 512 MB RAM, 80 GB Hard Drive, 2 Hot-Swappable Li-lon batteries, AC power supply, sealed PCMIA Type III slot for 2 Type II PCMIA cards. The ruggedized computer shall have a milled aircraft aluminum housing certified to Mil-Std-81OF and an Adjustable-Brightness NVG/NVIS option with push button brightness controls. The ruggedized computer shall have an internal slot for the Communication Modem and protocol currently used by the Marine Corps Systems Command for tactical communications (see next item) . Contract Line Item Number 0005: The proposed computer shall have the capability to operate the Marine Corps Systems Command proscribed modem protocol used for tactical communications. Contract Line Item Number 0006 The wireless feature will provide the functionality to provide wireless connectivity from the computer to the laser range finder.
