PRON: AX579446AX, NSN: 3040-01-114-9449, PN: 145D5309-2, Q TY: Min: 50 ea, Max: 250 ea, 5 Year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract, applicable to the CH-47, with deliveries to Texarkana, TX 75507-5000. This IS a Critical Safety Item. This item is restricted to The Boeing Company, Cage Code: 77272 and Northstar Aerospace (Chicago), Cage Code: 22907. This part requires engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to maintain the quality of the part. Existing unique design capability, engineering skills, and manufacturin g knowledge by the qualified source(s) require acquisition of the part from the approved source(s). The approved source(s) retain data rights, manufacturing knowledge is essential to maintaining the quality of the part. An alternate source must qualify i n accordance with the design control activitys procedures, as approved by the cognizant Government engineering activity. The qualification procedures must be approved by the Government engineering activity having jurisdiction over the part in the intende d application. A Contractor First Article IS required. Production Lead-time with First Article Testing is 15 each, 400 DACA. Production Lead-time without First Article Testing is 15 each, 285 DACA. Production Lead-time with Article II Clause is 15 each, 356 DACA. Firms that can produce the required item described above are encouraged to identify themselves. Firms are encouraged to seek source approval in order to compete for future solicitations by accessing the website www.redstone.army.mil/cmo/ and lo oking under CAPSAR and Policy Relating to Source Approval Request (SAR) for Aviation requirements. The closing date annotated is an estimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the date of release of solicitation; however, solicitation will not clos e prior to the closing date stated above. Foreign firms are reminded that all requests for solicitation must be processed through their respective embassies. Adequate technical data is not available for this acquisition.
