?This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the NSWC Division Crane.? MARKET SURVEY ? SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS: This is a replacement to the sources sought posted on 22 February 2005. Please use this corrected version of the sources sought announcement when replying. This is a sources sought announcement for a 20 mm Anti Materiel Rifle. All sources of any type of rifle which is capable of a high velocity 20 mm chambering with a minimum muzzle velocity of 700 m/s are encouraged respond. The Government is interested in ultimately attaining a rifle with a design which can be made operable with current 20 X 110 mm / A862 type ammunition which was used in the MK16 gun system. A percussion type primer will be used. Weapons with designs requiring significant modification for this ammunition type would be considered. A man portable prone shoulder fired weapon is desired. Rifle action can be single shot of any type, magazine fed bolt action, or semi automatic. Light system weight is a goal. Vendors please provide price and availability inform! ation on weapons as well as ammunition if possible (small quantities). Any responses to this notice should include the following: company name, brief description of company/capabilities, experience areas, history. Respondents are requested to provide pricing and availability information for the following quantities: 10-100, 101-1000. A respondent to this market survey must have available a majority of the skills and facilities that are required to manufacture the rifle. If a respondent does not have adequate resources (technical, manufacturing, personnel, etc) available, the respondent must be able to demonstrate the ability to obtain those resources in a timely fashion. Interested companies who feel they possess the necessary capabilities should respond by providing the Government the following information; point of contact, address, telephone and fax numbers, e-mail address, duns number, cage code and/or tax ID number, as well as size category (large/small disadvantaged, etc) a brief summary of the company's capabilities, description of facil! ities, personnel, related manufacturing experience, and existing safety approvals. Also provide any supporting information such as commercial literature, catalogues, manuals, etc. If a respondent chooses to utilize the services of sub-tier vendors or subcontractors, those vendors or subcontractors must meet these criteria. Please provide this information by no later than 18 March 2005 to the technical Point Of Contact (POC) Mr. Phillip McMillen.
