Description

Request for Information (RFI) for the Recycling of Aluminum Cans and Plastic Bottles. The Social Security Administration (SSA) is requesting information regarding the recycling of it?s aluminum cans and plastic bottles. The SSA is currently conducting market research only. No award is intended as a result of this synopsis nor does the Government intend to pay for information received. SSA is interested in receiving information with regard to the recycling capabilities of area businesses. The SSA has a need for a contractor to recycle all their aluminum cans and plastic bottles. The approximate quantities of the items for the past fiscal year (October 1, 2003 through September 30, 2004) are as follows: Aluminum Cans 9,622 pounds and Plastic Bottles 8,658 pounds. The SSA has approximately 15 buildings within the Baltimore City/Baltimore County area that need the recycling service. Responses should describe the contractor?s capabilities and approaches in recycling. Offerors should submit statements or other descriptive data that describes their abilities to assist us in our recycling efforts.
