Description

Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools and equipment to perform on the Update Primary Electrical Distribution, Phase II at the VA Medical Center, St. Cloud MN as required by the contract specifications and drawings. Work includes excavation, high voltage duct bank, installation of large air break switches, cable and connection of switches and transformers, restoration of grounds, roads and walks. Connect to the new high voltage distribution system at S8 and the duct bank in front of Building No. 3. Install new electrical distribution up to and including S14 and connections to transformers 88 and 95. Switch S9 and associated duct bank are not part of this contract. Electronic solicitation documents may be obtained FREE of charge via the VA Business Opportunities website. Requests for hard copy solicitation documents must be in writing to the Contracting Officer and accompanied by a check for $30.00 made out to the Department of Veterans Affairs. Only ONE request for hard copies will be honored per contractor. No telephone requests will be accepted. The drawings are in CAD format and can only be opened with CAD capabilities. Any amendments issued to this solicitation will only be available on the VA Business Opportunities website, no hard copies will be available. Offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining all amendments. Issue date is March 3, 2005, Pre-Bid Conference is March 24, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. CST with Bid Opening April 19, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. CST. The cost range if $575,000 to $675,000. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238210 with a size standard of $12.0 Million. This is a TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. No electronic offers will be accepted. All questions must be in writing. Award is subject to the availability of funds.
