DESCRIPTION: THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS ONLY. THE PURPOSE OF THIS SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS IS TO GAIN KNOWLEDGE OF POTENTIAL QUALIFIED SOURCES AND THEIR SIZE CLASSIFICATIONS (HUBZONE 8(A), HUBZONE, SMALL, SMALL DISADVANTAGED AND LARGE BUSINESS) RELATIVE TO NAICS CODE 621111 (SIZE STANDARD OF $7.5M). RESPONSES TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS WILL BE USED BY THE GOVERNMENT TO MAKE APPROPRIATE ACQUISTION DECISIONS-SEE SUBMITTAL REQUIREMENTS BELOW. AFTER REVIEW OF THE RESPONSES TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT, A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT WILL BE PUBLISHED IN TE BOS. RESPONSES TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED AS AN ADEQUATE RESPONSE TO THE FORTHCOMING SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT. ALL INTERESTED OFFERORS MUST RESPOND TO THE SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT IN ADDITION TO RESPONDING TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT. The United States Department of Veterans Affairs, Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System of Little Rock, Arkansas is soliciting inquiries from interested parties to provide Outpatient Primary Care services to eligible Veterans residing in Clark, Garland, Montgomery, Perry, Yell and Hot Spring Counties in the State of Arkansas. A solicitation package is under development that will require a Contractor to provide a facility, adequate medical and administrative staff, equipment and supplies necessary to establish an appropriate clinic setting within the city limits of Hot Springs, Arkansas necessary to provide for the continuous delivery and management of primary care for a Veteran population of approximately 5100. Payment for services will be based on a negotiated capitated rate (per member per month) basis. Primary care includes medical diagnosis and medically necessary treatment of physiological and pathological conditions not requiring referral or in-patient hospital services. Care will be directed toward health promotion and disease prevention, management of acute and chronic medical conditions, appropriate referral to specialty care, and continuity across inpatient and outpatient setting. Care includes medical services usually provided by Internal Medicine or Family Practice physicians as well as ancillary services (clinical laboratory and radiology services) necessary to meet the requirement. The term of the agreement will be for a base period of from January 1, 2006 through September 30, 2006, with four(4) renewable 12 month option years. Solicitation package is not available at this time.
