NA SUBJ: Sources Sought Notice Small Businesses (Manufacturers) for Lancets, Finger Stick, Safety The Department of Veterans Affairs is conducting market research to identify potential small business manufacturers for Lancets.. The purpose of VA?s standardization program is to provide uniformity within VA, and offer VA customers the best possible products at the best prices. OFFERS ARE NOT BEING SOLICITED AT THIS TIME. Requests for Procurement (RFPs) will be issued at a later date. Potential Small Business Manufacturers interested in having their items evaluated for possible inclusion in the standardization program are requested to send an e-mail to Loretta.hendrix@med.va.gov with the following information: Name of Company, Address, Telephone Number, Name of Contact person. Listed below are criteria of the items requested. Single Use Disposable Sterile tip Retractable needle tip Needle locks to prevent re-use Single unit construction Various penetration depths Easy to use Easy to dispose of (in Disposal Containers, Biohazard) Instructions for use included Intended Use: Single use device for finger puncture in preparation for capillary blood glucose measurement.
