Description
The project consists of maintenance dredging of the Rudee Inlet Entrance Channel and Sand Trap and new work dredging of a Depositional Basin approximately 500 feet by 600 feet in the outer portion of the Entrance Channel. All work shall be performed by hydraulic dredge and pipeline method. The Entrance Channel shall be dredged to depths varying between 10 feet and 12 feet MLLW (NOS) with 2 feet of allowable overdepth at each respective depth; the Sand Trap to a depth of 18 feet MLLW (NOS) with 2 feet of allowable overdepth; and, the depositional basin to a depth of 20 feet MLLW with 2 feet of allowable overdepth. The Contractor shall place the dredged material in the Government-furnished, unconfined, shoreline dredged material management area and const ruct finished elevations and grades in the placement area to the tolerances indicated and specified. Including estimated accretion to June 2005 and allowable overdepth, the project involves maintenance dredging approximately 50,000 cubic yards of material and new work dredging approximately 80,000 cubic yards of material. The magnitude of construction is $500,000 - $1,000,000. Applicable SIC code is 1629, with a size standard of $17.2 million. The NAICS code is 237990.
