Description

The National Transportation Safety Board will require part time (two to three days per week) technical support to assist in a research program in the mechanical testing laboratory at the NTSB Academy located in Ashburn, Virginia. The NAICS code is 541990 and the small business size status is $6 million. The initial phase of the program will investigate the failure of composite panels with internal damage. The requirement is for a structural engineer and laboratory technician for a base period with two option periods. It is anticipated that a labor hour contract will be issued with a performance period from date of award through 30 Sep 05 with two one year options. When issued, a link to the solicitation will be posted on this web site. It is anticipated that the solicitation package will be available for download on or about 18 March 05.
