Description

Tulsa Job Corps Center which is owned by the United States Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration and operated By ResCare Inc. is soliciting bids from General Construction Contractors for a stairwell renovation project in our Academic/Education Building. The extent of work is described in Article 1, as Scope of Work. Interested parties are to determine their bid(s) based on the specifications. Interested bidders are invited to attend a pre-bid conference in the main conference room at Tulsa Job Corps Center located at 1133 N. Lewis in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Wednesday March 09, 2005 at 2:00p.m. The Tulsa Job Corps Center reserves the right to reject any or all bids to waive any or all informalities Article 1. Scope of Work - 40163 1. North Stairwell: a. 1st Floor ? Remove existing doors and frames from Rooms ________ and construct a one (1) hour fire rated GWB partition to close the openings. b. Cut-out and install a 20-minute fire rated door between Rooms_____________. c. Construct a secure enclosure for the Telephone wires and equipment. 2. Northeast Stairwell: a. 2nd Floor ? Install a 20-minute fire rated door to the North of the stairs. 3. Southeast Stairwell: Completely enclose this stairwell, making the wall flush with the existing wall. Install a 20-minute fire rated door at this location. 4. South Stairwell: a. 1st Floor ? Remove existing doors and frames from Rooms ______. b. Construct a one (1) hour fire rated GWB partition to close the openings. c. Cut out and install a 20-minute fire rated door between Rooms_______. d. Construct a hall in that area. e. 2nd Floor ? Remove existing door and frame from Room_____. f. Construct a one (1) hour fire rated GWB partition to close the opening. g. Cutout and install a 20-minute fire rated door between Rooms__________. h. Construct a one (1) hour fire rated GWB wall at the top of the stairs. i. Install a 20-minute fire rated door in that location. 5. Paint all doorframes with enamel paint to match the Job Corps Center color scheme. Burgundy. 6. If doors are metal, prime and paint to Center color ? Burgundy. 7. If the doors are wood, stain to match other wood doors, and seal with sealer material. 8. Install transition pieces at all new door installations. 9. Patch, prime, and paint all walls to the center color scheme. Bottom 5 feet, Cream, top-to-ceiling, White. 10. Install Burgundy cove base material in all effected areas.
