Description: The items to procure are various sizes of armor steel. The various sizes are listed in the subject line above. This requirement will result in a 3-year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity multiple award contract. FOB is FOB destination. The armor steel is required for use in the Add-on Armor Program for the HMMWV, M939 and M969 or any future requirements. The estimated date of issue for the solicitation is 25 March 2005. The solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore hardcopies will not be provided. Because this solicitation is issued electronically, the G overnment is under no obligation to maintain a bidder's mailing list. The FY05 DoD Appropriations Act, 108 P.L. 287 requires all armor steel for use in any Government owned or operated facility to be melted and rolled in the United States or Canada.
