- Description
- This is an amendment to the previous posting dates 03/02/05. It provides the questions and answers to four technical questions. Answers to the technical questions in response of the RFI posted on 03/03/05 will be posted every friday until expiration of response date. All information contained in the 03/02/05 posting still applies and remains unchanged. Below please find four technical questions and answers regarding the EQ-36: Question: Have Key Performance Parameters (KPP's) been established? Answer: There are four KPP's: 1) Range - As denoted in Table 1 of the RFI. 2) Accuracy - As denoted in Table 1 of the RFI. 3) Drive-on/Drive-off - Mission essential configuration shall be transportable in a single sortie on board a C-130 & larger mi litary cargo aircraft without disassembly. 4) Net Ready - All activity interfaces, services, policy-enforcement controls, and data sharing of the Net Centric Operational Warfare Reference Model (NCOW-RM) and Global Information Grid Key Interface Paramete rs (GIG-KIPs) shall be satisfied to the requirements of the specific Joint integrated architecture products (including data correctness, data availability and data processing), and information assurance accreditation. Question: Is it okay to use a vehicle larger than the AN/TPQ-36's HMMWV if the roll-on/roll-off single C-130 sortie requirements are met? Answer: There is no requirement for the EQ-36 System to be the same size as the AN/TPQ-36's HMMWV as long as it meets the drive-on/drive-off KPP stated in the above question. The EQ-36 must be an affordable, highly mobile and transportable ruggedized bat tlefield radar system. Question: Has the Army scheduled or will the Army schedule an Industry Day? Answer: The Army will not be scheduling an Industry Day. Question: Page 6 of the document entitled 'ENHANCED AN/TPQ-36 - RFI (EQ-36) FEB 23, 2005' states the items requested for the realistic order of magnitude (ROM). Are requesting cost data or price data for the rough order of magnitude? Answer: The ROM is used for planning purposes and reflects what would be paid to a contractor.
