Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA) has a known requirement for a contractor to provide medical consultant services for the following specialties: Psychology; Orthopedist; Internist; and General Medicine/Family Practice. It is anticipated that multiple awards will result from this RFQ. Services shall be performed ON-SITE at 300 Spring Garden, Philadelphia, PA 19123. The files to be reviewed MAY NOT leave the premises. Medical consultant services shall consist of the successful contractor reviewing SSA disability case files only. There shall be no contact with patients. Competitive pricing shall be solicited and accepted. SSA anticipates awarding a firm fixed price, indefinite-quantity contract with a period of performance consisting of a base year and one (1) provision for an additional option year. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 621111 and the size standard is $8.5M. This acquisition is being conducted under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 regarding the acquisition of commercial items and FAR Part 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. This requirement is a 100% set-aside for small businesses. Proposals received from other than small business concerns shall be deemed unacceptable and will be given no further consideration. The RFQ shall be available for downloading on or about March 15, 2004 from the Federal Procurement website at www.fedbizopps.gov with offers due 21 days later. HARD COPIES OF THE RFQ SHALL NOT BE MAILED to interested parties. No telephone requests for the solicitation shall be honored.
