- THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: The work covered by this Presolicitation Notice shall consist of supplying, shipping, designing the construction requirements, construction, installation, check-out, commissioning, flight testing and training for the O&M equipment and furnishing all labor, equipment, materials, shipping and transportation of other required equipment, security, housing, travel, testing, inspection and permits required to perform the evaluation, design, and subsequent construction and demolition, repair, inspection and supervision necessary to complete the work herein. This task also includes 12-months of operations and maintenance support from the time of commissioning. Execution of this Contract will result in upgrade or rehabilitation of the Visual Aid Airport Facilities to support ICAO Category 2 (Basrah) instrument procedures and fully operational. certified, and flyable Visual Aids. All the following equipment to be provided at Basrah International Airport is to meet the requirements for an ICAO Category 2 Certification at the airport, and ALSF-2 is a requirement for this contract. This is intended to be Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract with an Operational Readiness Date (ORD) of 180 days and 365 days of Operations and Maintenance., under FAR Part 36. Acquisition of Construction and Architect ? Engineering Contract is contemplated. The solicitation number is W914NS-05-R-0014. The Solicitation will be posted no later than 19 March 2005.
