Description

The Department of State?s National Foreign Affairs Training Center, Foreign Service Institute (FSI) provides training and professional development to personnel of the Department of State and the Foreign Service community. The mission of the Area Studies Division of the School of Professional and Area Studies (SPAS) at the Foreign Service Institute (FSI) is to provide members of the foreign affairs community with the essential knowledge of the country or region in which they work in order that they may advance the foreign policy objectives of the United States of America. Currently, professional services are needed to coordinate the Arabian Peninsula/North Africa Advanced Area Studies course and the Near East and North Africa Intensive Regional Area Studies course, as well as to coordinate the Near East/North Africa Region Area Studies Program.
