Description

This is a modification to subject solicited posted in FEBBizOpps on 23 February 2005. The due date for submission of quotations remain unchanged and is 11 March 2005, 2:00 PM CT. Quotations can be faxed to (270) 798-3987; mailing address is Directo rate of Contracting, 13 ? Street, Building 2176, Fort Campbell, Kentucky. This requirement is 100% setaside for small business concern. NAICS is 531120, small business size is $6.0 million. This modification is a combined synopsis/solicitation for comme rcial items prepared in accordance with format in subpart 12.2, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice; a written solicitation will not be issued. Additional information such as specification and drawing can be accessed at htt p://doc.campbell.army.mil. The following are questions/answers pertaining to this solicitation: a). Question: We have some modular buildings available that were constructed for the military and used for only one year; are buildings acceptable? Answer: No. b). Question: In which offices do you want 28 oz carpet. Answer: All offices must receive carpet. c) Question: Do you want 1/8 or 1/5 tile? Answer: 1/8 tile. d) Question. Do you want base cabinets only at the coffee bar? Answer: Yes. e) Question: It is difficult to count the windows on the plans; are there 8 in the single wide and 12 in the large building? Answer: Yes. f) Question: Do you want blank j boxes for data/phone wiring? If so, how many? Answer: No, wire completely, qu ad drops (with 2 data and 2 voice every six feet) on the wall of Trailer A & B. For Trailer C, quad drops are required as well as dual drops every six feet (dual per station) home run in conduit. g) Question: Support posts will be required at the mateli nes in the large roomsis that going to be a problem? Answer: No. h) Question: What are the site conditions? Ground, asphalt or concrete? Is the ground level? Compacted? Answer: Ground with gravel in place. I) Question: The bid states that there a re a total of three buildings each measuring 14x70 feet (two of the to be seamed together); however the diagrams provided show a total of 5 buildings. Two are labeled in building 'A' for pilots, Two are labeled 'B' for crew members; and finally the single labeled 'C' for Command Group. I imagine that 'C' will stay as the single however which of the two double wides are we bidding on trailer 'A' or 'B'. Answer: There are modular buildings that are double wides and one set that is single wide. J) Question: Assuming that it is three units that would make a total of 4 exterior doors and you require 3 sets of wood steps with 5x5 landing and handrails and 3 sets of Handicapped ramps; I just wanted to clarify if we are only doing three buildings what is the st ep requirement. Answer: No, that would be 6 exterior doors requiring 3 sets of steps and 3 sets of handicap ramps. We dont need steps on the ramp entrances. K) Question: You also ask for 3 sets of poured footers; did you mean the required amount of f ooters for each building? Answer: Yes, footers for each modular building. L) Question: Is that for the foundation on the building our for the decks with canopy and ramps only? Answer: This is for the footers on the buildings, decks, and ramps. M) Question: Whos responsible for the Decks, ramps and stairs, Below grade piers, and canopies. Answer: The contractor.
