Description

The purpose of this specification is to describe the minimum requirements for overhaul to original standards and specifications of Power Pack Assemblies, part number 8467605 fork and 8467606 blade, for 645E locomotive application. Power packs are fo r use on the 645E V 16 engine, built by Electro-Motive-Division (EMD) of General Motors Corporation. All components shall be pre-assembled and returned in Government furnished containers. This solicitation is Set-Aside for Small business. The North American Industrial Classification System Code is 333618 and the size standard is 1000 employees. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102(a)(7) and 1 4.205-1(c); therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may down load a copy on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the Internet: http://www.procnet.anad.army.mil (Doing Business with Us). Es timated issue date is 19 March 2005. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation, and is in fact, unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is, ther efore, incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above Internet address in order to obtain any amendments, which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid open ing/receipt of proposals may render the vendors bid or proposal non-responsive and result in the rejections of the same. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered.
