Description
CONTACT Hae C. Rhee, (732) 427-5178, Production Engineer. This is a Market Survey, not a Request For Proposal (RFP), to locate sources for AN/ALQ-144C(V) Infrared Countermeasures Set, NSN 5865-01-518-4005, drawing number A3301521 and its spares. The Countermeasures Set is a critical mission essential equipment used on the Black Hawk, Apache, and Kiowa Warrior aircraft. The Countermeasures Set generates IR energy, modulates it and then passes it through the covert window assembly in the form of invisib le IR energy. This invisible IR energy is used to confuse IR heat-sinking missiles to protect the helicopters and their crew from missile attack. Government owns the product drawings and the system specification. However, suppliers must meet the followin g requirements to produce the items: 1. Required to have a Secret clearance with Secret safeguarding capability to perform Radiometric Measurement, Acceptance Testing, Repair and Rework, and Storage. The supplier will receive and generate classified material and fabricate/modify/store the cl assified hardware. 2. Required to have capabilities to perform the required waveforms and radiometric measurements specified in the system specification (Secret). 3.Required to have the expertise of qualified testing capabilities to perform the radiometric calibration and measurement to perform the calculations of the IR source in accordance with (IAW) the Acceptance Test Procedure (ATP) and the system specification. 4. Required to have the expertise of experienced computer science personnel to generate the software program to perform a Fast Fourier Transform of composite waveforms to obtain the Figure of Merit IAW the parameters as specified in the ATP and the system specification. 5. Required to have the expertise of the first class mechanical engineering capabilities to manufacture the sophisticated fixture to balance and maintain the concentricity of the modulator as required in the provided drawings. 6. Required to have capabilities to perform the Electro-magnetic Interference test as required in the system specification. 7. Required to have capabilities to make hardware and software changes if it is necessary based on threat changes. Product drawings and the system specification will be provided to the suppliers during the RFP process.
