SOLICATION NUMBER: W15P7T-05-R-W020, , PRON: C94EA127C9, NOUN: Helmet Mount Quantity 101,895 NSN: 5855-01-457-2953 CLOSING DATE: April 8, 2005 , SIC CODE: 333314 , ( AMC 5) This item is Acquire directly from a sole source contractor which is not the actual manufacturer Night Vision Division, 7635 Plantation Road, Roanoke, VA 24019. (AMSC B) This part must be acquired from a manufacturing source(s) specified on a s ource control or selected item drawing as defined by the current version of DoD-STD-100. Suitable technical data, Government data rights, or manufacturing knowledge are not available to permit acquisition from other sources, nor qualification testing of an other part, nor use of a second source part in the intended application. Item 0001AA, NOUN: Helmet Mount Quantity 101,895 NSN: 5855-01-457-2953 applicable to the AN/PVS-7D, Night Vision Goggles and AN/PVS-14, Monocular Night Vision Device. Required deli very staring, 120 days after contract award at a rate of 10,000 per month with delivery to Plant 7002, XU Transportation officer, DDSP New Cumberland Facility, Building Mission Door 113 134, New Cumberland Justification for other than full and open compet ition is FAR 6.302-2, Unusual and compelling urgency. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered. The time required for approval of new supplies is such that award and delivery cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source. Firms that recognize and can produce the required item described above are encouraged to identify themselves. The Statement of Capability should be submitted in writing to Commander, USA CECOM Acquisition Center, AMSEL-AC-CC-RT-W, Building 1208, Attn: Dus tin Glaser, Fort Monmouth, NJ 07703-5000, or Email: Dustin. Glaser@mail1.monmouth.army.mil. Interested sources may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by providing a clear and convincing Statement of Capability. The Statement of Capability should be detailed enough to make a technical assessment of the capabilit ies possessed by the Contractor. The response must include technical documentation and if possible a product sample. Successful sources may be required to warrant that the items supplied will satisfactorily perform when used for the purpose intended and t hat they are able to meet minimum delivery requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. The Government will consider all Statements of Capability that are received within 15 days of this synopsis. If no affirmative written respo nses are received it is the intent of the Government to negotiate sole source and award a contract to ITT. It is anticipated that a Firm-Fixed Price contract will be awarded. The contract will be negotiated pursuant to FAR 6.302-1. A determination by th e government not to compete this proposed contract action based on the responses to this notice is solely within discretion of the Government. THIS INFORMATION CANNOT BE RELEASED OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES WITHOUT PRIOR A PPROVAL OF THE GOVERNMENT. The closing date annotated is an es timated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the date of release for solicitation; however, the solicitation will not close prior to the date stated above.
