- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command, NAS Patuxent River, Maryland, Program Management Office (PMA-207) is seeking sources to perform Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) to include maintenance, repair, engineering and technical services, aircraft upgrade and modifications, and integrated logistics support services for the C-26D derivative aircraft for the Department of the Navy. The C-26D aircraft operates in three sites: Barking Sands, Hawaii, Sigonella, Italy and Naples, Italy. There are a total of seven (7) aircraft, three (3) located in Barking Sands, Hawaii, two (2) in Sigonella, Italy and (2) in Naples, Italy. The C-26D is a militarized version of the commercial FAA type-certified Fairchild Metro 23, SA227. The C-26D?s mission is to provide time-sensitive movement of personnel and cargo, as well as limited medical evacuation. Identified by the North American Industry System Classification (NAICS) Code 488190, the Government intends to award an Indefinite Delivery Firm-Fixed Price Contract for these services, providing for some Cost Reimbursable Contract Line Numbers (CLINs). The period of performance includes the basic year with four (4) one year options . Contractors shall hold a current 145-repair station certificate and be able to comply with the Federal Aviation Administration?s (FAA) Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) Parts 21-Certification Procedures for Products and Parts, 43- Maintenance, Preventative Maintenance, Rebuilding, and Alteration, 135- Operating Requirements, and 145-Repair Station. The following dates are anticipated: Draft Request for Proposal (RFP) 2/14/05, RFP issued 4/26/05, and Award 9/20/05. Contractors who believe they possess the demonstrated expertise and experience in CLS shall submit electronically a statement of their capabilities to: Commander, Naval Air Systems Command Point of Contacts (patricia.collier@navy.mil and (anthony.devico@navy.mil no later than 17 December 2004. With the Capability Statement, interested firms shall indicate whether or not they are a large business, small business, small disadvantage business, woman owned business, or other type. The government is considering both Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 12 and 15 contracting methodologies. Interested parties are encouraged to provide benefits and disadvantages of each methodology.
