Description

Pre-Solicitation Notice for solicitation FA6606-05-B-0001 - Project YTPM 94-0058A/B M/R Water Tank, Bldg. 1311, Westover Air Reserve Base, Chicopee, MA 01022-1536. Project consists of removing existing lead based paint, prepare surface and apply a new coating system on the exterior of the elevated (one hundred sixty-two feet) water tank. Work also includes the prepping and repainting of a small wooden structure, Bldg. 1312, directly below the tank, repair cracks and seal concrete footings, installation of obstruction lights and miscellaneous electrical repairs. This project is being solicited in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The small business size standard applicable to this project is $12,000,000.00 and the NAICS (North American Industrial Classification System) Code for this solicitation is 238320. Bid issue will be on or about 12 April 2005 with a bid opening date on or about 19 May 2005. Performance period will be one hundred fifty (150) calendar days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The estimated cost of construction is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. The solicitation including the bid package and wage rates will be posted at this site (FedBizOpps.gov) and the technical data (drawings and specifications) will be posted at FedTeDS.gov. There will be no other form of distribution for this solicitation other than downloading the information from these sites. A hard copy of the solicitation will be available for examination at the 439 CONF/LGC office, 250 Airlift Drive, Westover Air Reserve Base, Chicopee, MA 01022-1536.*****
