Department of Homeland Security, Office of Inspector General Posted Date:February 17, 2005 Response Date: REQUIRMENTS: General Services Administration is interested in leasing approximately 10,005 square feet of rentable space in a Class A commercial building for office space in the Houston area. Rentable space must yield 8700 usable square feet of space. Department of Homeland Security, Office of Inspector General will occupy the space. LEASE TERMS: Ten years Firm. Office space must accommodate 28 offices, distribution center/space, clerical work area, weapons room, multipurpose room, public reception area, unsecured and secured storage, information technology/communications room, case file room, team room, break room, and mini conference room. The space must be located in contiguous space on one floor. Agency does not want to be located on ground floor or street level. Agency requires 24 hour unrestricted access to office space and parking. The building should have a 24 hour security system. Twelve covered reserved and sixteen surface parking spaces as near to the main entrance as possible is required. Office space needs two ways of egress. Daytime cleaning needed. LOCATION: Area of Houston between I-610, I-10, Westheimer Road, and the Sam Houston Parkway SUBMITTAL: 1) Building name and address; 2) Rentable square feet and rate per rentable square foot; 3) Method of measurement used to determine rentable square foot; 4) Common area factor for available space; 5) Name, address, and telephone number of individual to contact and evidence of authority to represent the owner. AUTHORIZED CONTACTS: In no events shall the offerer enter into negotiations concerning the space to be leased with representatives of Federal Agencies other than the officers and employees of General Services Administration.
