Utility Service Interruptions SCOPE OF WORK: The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and transportation necessary to perform the following work at facility 7715 ? Mighty 8? playground as follows: 1. Repair or replace approximately one dozen pipe end caps that are missing. 2. Repair or replace Approximately 6 bolts missing on the Chameleon slides. 3. Repair or replace several railing pipes that are not installed in proper bar sockets. 4. Repair or replace many self-tapping screws imperative for structural soundness. 5. Repair, replace or tighten many screws throughout play structure. 6. Adjust, repair or replace many bolts that exceed the two-thread limit. 7. Several bar sockets have improper screws that are too long. They should require blue bar sockets with screws. 8. Safety surfacing is very inadequate. Area is now wood fiber which needs to be removed and along with any hard surface in the sub base and re-place with approximately 80 tons of Playsafe Rubber Mulch or equivalent that is ADA approved and Ipema certified to a depth of 6? for a fall height of 12?. The 80 Tons is approximate. The contractor shall be required to calculate what tonnage is required to maintain a 6? depth. Contractor will be provided an opportunity to measure area and calculate how many cubit ft of mulch will be required. 9. Wood mulch that has been removed must be disposed of off base in a proper manner. At Facility 7719 the following work is required: 1. Removal of all sand and then replaced with Playsafe Rubber Mulch or equivalent that is ADA approved and Ipema certified to a depth of 6?, approximately 3200 sq. Ft. The Contractor shall be required to verify quantity. 2. Sand that has been removed can be hauled and dumped at Horizontal dumpsite at the north end of the base.
