Description

DESC: Extractor, Cartridge, NSN: 1005-00-600-8959, Part Number 6008959. The item to procure is a Cartridge Extractor Assy, used on the .50 Cal Machine Gun. Parts include the extractor, ejector, and pin with an overall length of approximately 3.750 i nches. Parts are made from steel 4140 and 1075 or Investment castings per MIL-S-22141. Heat treatment, Zinc phosphate coating and ISO 9000 are required. The solicitation will result in a 5-yr IDIQ type contract with a guaranteed minimum quantity of 2,500 each and a potential contract maximum quantity of 65,000 ea. FOB is destination. For use on the M2 Machine Gun. Estimated issue date is 28 March 2005. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, ha rdcopies will not be provided. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal non-responsive and result in the rejection of same. Proposed contract is 100% small business set-aside. All or a part of this action is an unfunded FY05 requirement.
