Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO PURCHASE ON A SOLE SOURCE BASIS. HQINSCOM has a requirement for purchase of ProForma Software maintenance and technical support. The product description is E NVI plus IDL Unix Floating Network. Part no: 20UNXFLMTR from Research Systems, Inc. 4990 Pearl East Circle, Boulder Co, 80301-5404 and that they are the only known responsible source that can meet this requirement. The Government intends to acquire this vi a a commercial item contract using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort via email to tptrivi@inscom.army.mil no later than COB, 12:30 PM,. March 14, 2005. Such capabilities/qualificati ons will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
