- The Bureau of Reclamation intends to negotiate on a sole source basis and to enter into a contract with Coast Crane Co. of Washington, 525 S. Oregon Ave, Pasco WA 99301 The purpose of this contract is to obtain parts and services for the tear down, diagnosis, repair and re certification of a Crane, Wheel MTD, model TMS 540, 1999 Grove 40 ton mobile crane. The crane was in a roll over accident. Known visual damage includes operator's cabin and instrumentation, driver's cabin and steering wheel with possible instrumentation, cowlings and side boxes, primary boom section, jib boom and fly, and hydraulics switching. Unknown damage could include other boom sections, turret and shipper, and chassis. Immediate request is for inspection of all driving mechanisms for possible failure. This is part of the accident investigation that needs immediate attention and documentation. Request tear down and inspection for firm estimate of repairs. Request repair of crane to original configuration with written certification and warranty of crane to meet all original operating and lifting capabilities. The government believes that only one responsible source can provide the services listed above that will satisfy the agency needs. Any firm or individual that believes it can furnish the items described are encouraged to give written notification to the Contracting Officer. Supporting evidence must be furnished, in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Please supply the following information with your statement of interest: Accessability to Grove Manufactured Parts Ability & Experience in crane re manufacturing, modifications, rigging, winch repairs, electronics, Certifications from Crane Institute or Manufacturer Certifications Abilty to re certify / name of accredited person Past Performance / no less that 3 references Proposed vendors may view the crane upon request to the Contracting Officer or Fish Operations & Maint. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
