- Naval Medical Center San Diego at 34800 Bob Wilson Drive, San Diego, CA 92134 is looking for a Healthcare Provider within a 50-mile radius, complete RN-level services at the Tricare Outpatient Clinic in San Diego, CA IAW the Statement of Work as follows: 1.0 Scope and Location. Scope of duties includes direct patient services with an emphasis on care continuity, return to wellness, health risk reduction, preventive care, patient/family education and assessment of patient compliance. A competent RN identifies, measures and evaluates patient and program outcomes; institutes actions to improve care; adheres to and communicates standards of practice; demonstrates professional competency; and ensures the clinical practice, competencies and performance of other assigned nursing personnel. Further, a competent RN conducts duties in accordance with organizational/Nursing Services/area policies and standard operating procedures and participates in educational and quality improvement programs within assigned area 2.0. DUTY HOURS. The shifts are 8.5 hours to include an uncompensated ? hour meal break. The Clinic is open from 0600 to 2000. The required shift templates are Sunday through Thursday and Tuesday through Saturday. The hours for Saturday, Sunday and Holidays are 0800-1630. The hours Monday through Friday are 1130 ?2000. 2.1. The Contractor will be compensated by the Government for holidays that the healthcare worker actually provides service on that day. 2.2. When required, to ensure completion of services that extend beyond the normal close of business, the health care worker will remain on duty in excess of the scheduled shift. The health care worker will be paid at the applicable hourly rate in the Schedule of Prices for hours worked that have been prospectively approved by the Government. Without prospective approval, there will be no reimbursement. 2.3 Upon award, the Government will provide the Contractor with the scheduling template. 2.4. Without the prospective approval of the Contracting Officer, no more than 3 (three) individuals shall be permitted to provide services an individual position. . . 3.0. SPECIFIC MINIMUM REQUIRED PERSONNEL QUALIFICATIONS FOR REGISTERED NURSES. Possess a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or an Associate Degree in Nursing or a Diploma from a Nursing Program accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC), and Possess a current unrestricted license to practice as a registered nurse in any one of the 50 States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam or the U.S. Virgin Islands. Additionally, health care workers licensed outside of the 50 States must provide proof of having successfully passed the Commissioner of Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools exam or the National Council Licensure Exam (NCLEX). Foreign RN graduates must have three years experience working in the United States in addition to all other requirements, and Have two (2) years experience within last three (3) years as a Registered Nurse in Ambulatory Care.
