Description

The Presidio Trust, a Federal government corporation, plans to solicit bids from qualified contractors to supply voice, data and CATV cabling and components for the Pilots Row neighborhood thirteen (13) houses located at the Presidio of San Francisco, California. The Presidio is a National Park and a National Historic Landmark. Scope of Work includes: (a) furnish all required labor and materials for cabling & components requirements installation; (b) drill access holes into the wall cavities to provide pathways; (c) prepare the cabling pathway to support the new voice, data and CATV cabling; includes mounting of the protection unit; (d) install and terminate any coax cable required; (e) identify (label) all connectors; (f) test each cable(s) from jack to patch panel for Category-5e compliance; and (g) provide CADD drawing in AutoCad and on floppy disk. Estimated start date April 2005. Period of Performance is one hundred eighty (180) consecutive calendar days from NTP. The trust anticipates awarding a firm-fixed unit price contract. Minimum qualifications include experienced in cable installation and in all phases of telephony wiring, termination and testing. Davis Bacon Act (U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage rates) applies. Interested, qualified firms may request “IFB-2005-009” by fax to Marietta S. A MANDATORY pre-bid and site visit is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on March 16, 2005 (Wednesday). Meet at Bldg. 958 Lincoln Blvd. (the building is located in the middle of the 13 homes on Lincoln Blvd), Presidio of San Francisco, CA. Only those prime contractors attending the mandatory site visit may bid this contract. IFB available approx. in March 2005 with bids due on March 23, 2005 @ 3:00 pm. DATES ARE TENTATIVE AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE. Qualified small businesses (including small disadvantaged businesses, minority- and women-owned small businesses) are encouraged to respond. The Presidio Trust is a wholly owned federal government corporation and is not subject to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
