- INDUSTRY DAY: Sponsored by the Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) Navstar Global Positioning System (GPS) Joint Program Office (JPO), Los Angeles AFB, CA. The GPS JPO will host an Industry Day for the GPS Modernized Space Receiver (MSR) Program. The GPS MSR must be capable of operating with legacy civilian coarse acquisition code (C/A-code), L2 civil code (L2C), and military encrypted precision code (P(Y)-code) GPS signals as well as the new military code (M-code), L5 civil code, and L1 civil code (L1C) GPS signals. The receiver must also be able to operate in the space environment for at least ten years. The targeted users for the MSR are a variety of government satellites that operate at orbits between 150km and 4000km. The primary purpose of the Industry Day is to discuss MSR requirements contained in the Draft MSR Technical Requirements Document (TRD). The Draft TRD is available on the MSR Bidder’s Library on the GPS Program Library. For access to the GPS Program Library, register at https://gps.losangeles.af.mil/gpslibrary/. The Industry Day is scheduled for Wednesday, 30 March 2005, 0800-1200 Pacific Standard Time (PST) at ARINC, Large Conference Room, 2250 E. Imperial Highway, Suite 450, El Segundo, CA 90245. The classification for the briefing is UNCLASSIFIED. Attendance will be limited to five (5) personnel per company/team. All notifications for attendance, list of names attending and phone numbers, and any questions regarding this announcement must be made, by e-mail, by Wednesday, 23 Mar 05 to Capt. Michele Bruemmer at michele.bruemmer@losangeles.af.mil (phone number: (310) 363-0786). Visit requests are also required to gain access to the ARINC facility. Visit requests including each person attending can be faxed to Mr. Andrew Chow, fax number (310) 322-4474 (phone number: (310) 726-1640). Requests for side-sessions for each company/team to meet with the MSR government team can be made via e-mail by Wednesday, 23 Mar 05. E-mail requests for side-sessions to Capt. Michele Bruemmer at michele.bruemmer@losangeles.af.mil. Side-session will be scheduled on 30 Mar 05 or 31 Mar 05 between the hours of 1300-1700 PST. The length of the side-session will dependant on the number of sessions requested. (Please Note: Applicable NAICS Size standard is 1,000 employees.)
