Description
The project work site is U.S. Coast Guard Aids to Navigation (ANT), Morgan City, St. Mary County, Louisiana, which is located on Eugene Island offshore of Point Au Fer Island, Louisiana, between Atchafalaya Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. The ANT office address is 6030 Railroad Avenue, Morgan City, LA. The work consists of rehabilitation of the tower foundation including repair concrete cracks and spalls, and concrete fill the center of the foundation; replacing four steel adapter plates that connect tower to the concrete foundation; replacing existing steel tower with new government furnished steel tower; furnish and install riprap on all four sides of existing concrete tower foundation (approx 474 tons), areas under the concrete foundation that have been undermined shall be filled and compacted prior to the installation of riprap; demolition of existing 38 ft X 24 ft X 12 ft concrete building sitting on 12 piles, 17 ft tall; there are an additional 20 piles to be demolished and removed to a regulated landfill; remove and transport two generators from the concrete building to U.S.Coast Guard ISC New Orleans (NOLA) at completion of project; clean the site of all construction debris and dispose of in a regulated landfill. Contract performance time is 90 days. The estimated price range of the complete project is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. This action is being considered for 100 percent HUBZone set-aside. Interested HUBZone businesses should indicate their interest to the Contracting Officer in writing as early as possible to be received no later than 15 calendar days from the date of this notice. As a minimum, the following information is required: (a) a copy of the certificate issued by the SBA of your qualifications as a HUBZone concern, (b) a positive statement of your intention to submit an offer for this solicitation as a prime contractor, (c) evidence of experience in work similar in type and scope to include contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, and points of contact and telephone numbers, and (d) provide evidence of bonding capability to the maximum magnitude of the project, to include both single and aggregate totals. All of the above must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on availability of interested HUBZone concerns. Failure to submit all information requested will result in a contractor not being considered as an interested HUBZone concern. If adequate interest is not received from HUBZone concerns by close of business 15 calendar days from the date of this notice, this solicitation will be issued to small businesses without further notice. .The applicable NAICS code for this project is 238910, Site Preparation Contractors, with a size standard of $12.0 million. Bid guarantee, payment and performance bonds are required.
