- In accordance with the Revised Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-76, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is publicly announcing the start of a Streamlined Competition for Website Project management, Beneficiary Information Services Group, Center For beneficiary Choices. The Competitive Sourcing Official (CSO) is Leslie Norwalk. The Agency Tender Official is Brenda Sykes. The Contracting Officer is Edward Hodges. The function of Website Project Management includes, but is not limited to, the management and control of all content on the cms.hhs.gov and MEDICARE.gov websites. This includes adding, changing or deleting content, and assisting in the development of website tools, interactive databases, and static pages to better reach, educate, and assist the Medicare beneficiaries, their caregivers, providers, researchers, partners, and other visitors. These services are currently provided by eighteen (18) Federal government employees. CMS will issue another notice to announce the decision of the cost comparisons on or about June 9, 2005. CMS is just announcing as required by A-76 OMB Circular that we are starting a streamlined competition study to determine whether or not government personnel should be performing this activity. An RFP is not available. If it is determined this activity should be competed, CMS would be publishing the requirement in FedBizOpps in the future.
