- Description
- In accordance with the Revised Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-76, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is publicly announcing the start of a Streamlined Competition for Division of Performance Management, Budget and Analysis Group, Office of Financial Management. The Competitive Sourcing Official (CSO) is Leslie Norwalk. The Agency Tender Official is Brenda Sykes. The Contracting Officer is Ed Hodges. The functions of the Division of Performance Management include, but are not limited to, developing and maintaining financial systems in accordance with established CMS IT standards. These systems support internal CMS financial requirements including, but not limited to, payroll, travel, administrative budgets (overtime, printing, supplies, training, and travel). In addition the Division of Performance Management develops and maintains Medicare contractor financial performance and fund control systems in accordance with CMS IT standards. These systems control and report on CMS and Medicare Contractor financial performance and fund control activities. These services are currently provided by twelve (12) Federal government employees. CMS will issue another notice to announce the decision of the cost comparisons on or about June 9, 2005. CMS is just announcing as required by A-76 OMB Circular that we are starting a streamlined competition study to determine whether or not government personnel should be performing this activity. An RFP is not available. If it is determined this activity should be competed, CMS would be publishing the requirement in FedBizOpps in the future.
