- The U.S. Coast Guard, Maintenance & Logistics Command, Pacific (vpl) is seeking qualified Total Small Business Set-aside firms capable of performing haul out and repairs for the USCGC 41313 Utility boat, stationed at CG Station Sand Island, Honolulu, HI. The contractors? facility must be located within 275 nautical miles of the boats assign station, Sand Island, Honolulu, HI. The performance period will begin 16 May 2005 and ending 30 June 2005. The solicitation will be issued on or about 30 March 2005. The work items include but not limited to: appendages (underwater) air test, engine alignment, engine exhaust to e4xhaust flange piping alignment and installation, engine removal/reinstallation, engineroom insulation and sheathing renewal, fiberglass lamination repairs on cabin top, fit and face coupling, freeboard paint removal, fuel tank cleaning, gel coat ? cabin top repairs, haulout, hole repairs on the hull, insulation renewal, miscellaneous welding repairs, non-skid deck pad installation, paint removal, port or starboard rudder bearing renewal, production control, gantt bar chart provide, propeller shafting remove and install, stern tube cutlass bearing renewals, strut assembly renewal, strut cutlass bearing renewals, underwater body inspection, underwater body preservation (100% epoxy), ultrasonic measurement of hull plating thickness, weathertight door renewal. All potential Total small business set-aside offerors are advised that the Request for Quote (RFQ) will be issued on or about 30 March 2005.
