- Description
- This is not a request for proposal. This is a request to identify potential sources interested in providing tactical and non-tactical vehicle and machinery maintenance. The Iraqi Ministry of Defense operates an extensive fleet of tactical and non-tactical vehicles and machinery to support military operations by various segments of the Iraqi Armed Forces (IAF). The vehicles are normally operated from fixed bases however, as training, exercises or operations dictate, the vehicles maybe operated in austere and remote locations. The successful contractor will be required to assist the IAF to develop a degree of organizational to intermediate maintenance self sufficiency that is appropriate to both the force requirements and projected in-service period. The contractor will provide organizational and intermediate maintenance repairs and repair parts support for equipment normally found in Iraqi units including replacement of major assemblies, subassemblies, suspension components, body work, and glass replacement (no frame repairs or cab replacements). These items will be referred to as military and civilian style trucks as well as specified ground equipment. Minimum working facilities for the requirement are in place. The Government is responsible for building/modifying the existing building to accommodate the contractor?s requirements. The intent is to stand up operations in increments, based on facility improvements by the government. The initial priority is to provide support to the Iraqi fleet currently located at Al Kasik, KMTB, Tadji, and An Numaniyah. Expansion is anticipated to eight other locations to support maintenance requirements. Interested sources should e-mail 1Lt William Sahli at William.sahli@pco-iraq.net no later than 4 April 2005. At this time, Lt Sahli can provide a breakdown of vehicles that are currently in need of repair. This sources sought notice may be amended at a later date to include additional information.
