- Description
- The Vicksburg Consolidated Contracting Office intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 13.501(a)(1) to Leica Geosystems, 4550 Norris Canyon Road, San Ramon, California 94583. This procurement is being conducted under Simp lified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) only one responsible source and not other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), Geotechnical and Structures L aboratory (GSL) require warranty and maintenance for a Leica HDS2500 or HDS3000 3D Laser Scanning system, with the upgrades, maintenance and warranties. These products will support a large-scaled field research program. This requirement consists of: 1) one-Cyclone Model 5.1 software module; 2) two-Cyclone 5.1 REGISTER software modules; 3) one-year maintenance for Cyclone MODEL; 4) one-year maintenance for Cyclone REGISTER; 5) one-year maintenance for Cyclone SCANB; 6) service package with extens ion of warranty to include: original one-year manufacturers warranty with a one-year extension of warranty; a back-up scanner while original scanner is maintained or repaired at a Cyra service workshop. Includes one-way shipping fee; One re-calibration of Leica HDS2500 or HDS3000 scanner with one-way shipping fee; One preventative maintenance service performed as part of either a scanner re-calibration or warranty repair; includes function check, cleaning, lubrication and loading of latest firmware; acce ss to Cyra support hotline; updates of HDS2500 or HDS3000 scanner firmware and Cyclone SCAN software module. Delivery is not later than 25 March 2005. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. However, interested parties may submit their capabilities and qualifications to provide this supply or service in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 1600 hrs CST on 18 March 2005. Such capabiliti es/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely with the discretion of the Government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. No RFQ will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent.
