Description
NOTE: THIS IS A RESOLICITATION OF A REQUIREMENT PREVIOUSLY ANNOUNCED UNDER ANNOUNCEMENT NUMBER 05SQ340076. THE PREVIOUS ANNOUNCEMENT CLOSED ON MARCH 9, 2005. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additiona information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is 05SQ340076 and is being issued at a Request for Quotes (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquistion Circular 26, effective January 19, 2005. The Bureau of Reclamation has a requirement for Dresser couplings (or equivalent) for the Yuma Area Office, Yuma County, Arizona. The requirement is a total small-business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 333911 and the size standard is 500 employees. The requirement consists of supplying a number of different size pipe couplings (3", 8", and 10") per the following minimum specifications: 13 ea Dresser Part No. 00380000000 or equal: 3" pipe coupling (3.678 CPLG - 1/4 x5, P27 all 316 SS) 24 ea Dresser Part No. 00380000000 or equal: 8" pipe coupling (8.812 CPLG - 1/4 x7, P27 all 316 SS) 9 ea Dresser Part No. 00380000000 or equal: 10" pipe coupling (10.962 CPLG - 3/8 x7, P27 all 316 SS) All couplings shall be able to seal up to 400 psi water pressure. The coupling shall be flexible for compensation of slight piping misalignment. The coupling shall not require grooving or machining of coupled pipe ends. Piping is anchored, affording no pull-out requirement of the couplings. If an equivalent to the Dresser brand is quoted, technical specifications shall be faxed to Mr. Jessie Jones at 928-343-8568 or e-mailed to jjones@lc.usbr.gov for technical review. Failure to submit specifications for equivalent products may render a quote non-responsive. All couplings shall be delivered by May 1, 2005, F.O.B. Destination, to U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, Yuma Area Office, Attn: WHSE-9000, 7301 Calle Agua Salada, Yuma AZ 85364. Award shall be made to the offeror whose quote is the lowest-priced, technically acceptable offer. Offerors should register at www.fedbizopps.gov in order to receive notifications pertaining to the solicitation, or visit the web site to in order to access any subsequent amendments and/or notices. Effective October 3, 2003, prospective vendors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to the award of a contract. Lack of registration in the CCR database may make an offeror ineligible for award.
